Governor Narasimhan joins “Aasara”

Hyderabad: Governor Narasimhan has enrolled his name in the “Aasara” programme, being implemented by GHMC for the welfare of aged people. Hyderabad Mayor Karthika Reddy, City Commissioner Sameer Sharma went to Rajbhavan recently to issue him special identity card.
Mayor Karthika Reddy, along with her husband Banda Chandra Reddy, visited Rajbhavan to greet Governor Narasimhan on the eve of his birthday, a few weeks ago. On the occasion, governor made an enquiry with Mayor Karthika Reddy about the welfare schemes implemented by GHMC and then, the mayor explained His Excellency about “Aasara” scheme. Then, Governor surprised Mayor Karthika Reddy by expressing his wish to enroll his name in “Aasara”.  He even expressed his wish to supervise the implementation of the scheme. Then, the authorities made immediate arrangements to enroll the name of the governor in “Aasara” and gave him the special identity card. The number of members in “Aasara” has reached 56,359 by the time of publication of this article.
