Elder’s Homes Federation in AP

Elder’s homes in AP formed as a Federation of Elder Homes in AP (FEDEHAP) to create a common platform to share the best practices and deal the issues related to the management of the Homes collectively with the local Govt agencies. Initially, it was formed in 2008 and revised in August, 2010 in a meeting organized for the Old Age homes in AP.

FEDEHAP is working in coordination with the HelpAge India and FAPSCO. This forum is working to standardize the quality of living of elders in the OldAge Homes in Andhra Pradesh with the support of Government and Local NGOs.

HelpAge India is extending its support in building this network and give necessary training to these OldAge Homes staff to improve the skills and techniques of the staff and also the quality of living of elders in the Old Age Homes.
