Mumbai: Around 2000 people assembled at Azad Maidan, Mumbai at 1’o clock Noon to hold the protest meet. On 16th August, 2010, i.e., on the occasion of Senior Citizens National Protest Day, Joint Action Committee, Mumbai/Maharashtra submitted Memorandum to State Minister for Social Justice Mr.Sachin Ahir and also for PM, on behalf of Senior Citizens of Maharashtra. The Delegation included Dr.S.Kinjawadekar, Mr.Viajy Aundhe,Mr.Kaka Samant and Mr.Sailesh Mishra.
The Minister was very responsive and gave them 30 minutes hearing, noting down each of their demands. He in principal agreed to most of their demands and in this regard, called for the meeting once again in a week for action plan.
