Protest day at Rewa in Madhyapradesh

Rewa: The Senior Citizen’s protest day was observed at Rewa, Madhaya Pradesh, by the various organised and unorganised Senior Citizens. They assembled at the local pensioners’ office and went to the commissioner's office in a peaceful way, carrying various placards.
The group consisted of about 200 persons led by Dr. Sajjan Singh, Executive Chairperson ISU3As, Dr. F.A. Siddiqui, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society Rewa Branch, Dr.A.K. Mishra, Chairman Indian Geriatric Society, Rewa and Sri Narendra Singh Chairman, Divisional Persioners Samaj. Senior retired persons e.g. Sri S.P. Agrawal Retd. V.C. Rewa University, Dr.S.K. Khanijo Retd. Prof. Medicine, Shri Upadhya and others were in the procession.

The demands were presented to the commissioner Sri. R. Pastore IAS, who promised to deal with matters which came under his purview and also assured that the memorandum would be forwarded to the Chief Minister of M.P. and to the Prime Minister of India. The Protest day was also observed in the various development blocks of the District.
